Barr's Public House in Maumee, Ohio.

Address: 3355 Briarfield Blvd., Maumee.

Origin of club's name: Barr is a Scottish/Irish name and came from one of the original partners (though we do not affiliate with any ethnicity). Public House is the formal version of what we refer to as a pub. Our slogan is, "Our House, Your Pub."

What makes your place unique? We have two different atmospheres under one roof -- the front bar is dubbed "The Barrel Room" and focuses on things made from barrels, ranging from the decor to an extensive whiskey collection. This room also features a beautiful wall of cabinetry that is actually rentable bottle lockers. The back bar is "The Lounge" and there is rotating art on the walls which keeps the ambiance interesting. This is where the bands set up.

What kind of entertainment do you feature? The entertainment is local and varies between solo artists and bands. Our place is quaint so we are mindful of the noise levels. Music is featured Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through the end of the month. In June we will have music Thursdays and Saturdays.

Clientele: Typically sophisticated and educated, ranging from late 20s and early 30s to people in their 60s. The dress code is casual but nice.

Upcoming events: Tonight Jason Quick, 8-11 p.m.; Friday, Kaiden Chase 9-12 a.m.; Satutrday, 9-12 a.m. We will be hosting a Prichard's Whiskey tasting and pairing May 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.
