Grammy-Award winner Melissa Manchester to visit Toledo for several performances

Grammy-Award winning artist Melissa Manchester is headed to the Toledo area for several performances next month.

Grammy-Award winning artist Melissa Manchester is headed to the Toledo area for several performances. On May 1, Manchester, a singer, pianist, and songwriter, will coach and offer comments to aspiring singers and songwriters during a master class at Terra State Community College. The class runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. And is open to the public. Anyone interested in participating must call the college’s music department at 419-559-2379 to reserve a spot.

“An Evening with Melissa Manchester,” a concert, presented by KeyBank, will be May 2 in the Sandusky State Theatre at the college. The concert will also feature several music ensembles from Terra State, as well as the Sandusky State Theatre’s Amerikids show choir. Tickets range from $26 to $46 and are available at the theater box office, online at sanduskystate.com, and by phone at 419-626-1950.

Before the concert, Manchester will perform at the President’s Scholarship Dinner. Tickets are $125 and include reserved concert seating and a CD of the performance.

Proceeds will benefit the President’s Scholarship fund. Reservations must be made through the State Theatre box office by 5 p.m. today.
