The Valentine Theatre will be hopping again Saturday night, when the Toledo Jazz Orchestra has its annual holiday extravaganza at 8 p.m.

The concert will feature arrangements from Cool Yule, an album made by the Air Force Airmen of Note. Special guests will include Detroit-area crooner Paul King and trumpeter Dwight Adams from Stevie Wonder’s band, plus trumpeter Ric Wolkins, one of the jazz orchestra’s founding members.

Tickets are $8 to $35. They can be purchased from the box office or online from etix at bit.ly/2zQ3DiM.

Dylan Marzec, a 23-year-old rap artist from Toledo known as “Marzek,” has partnered with Toys for Tots for a show at 8 p.m. Saturday at Frankies Inner City, 308 Main St. in East Toledo.

The show is a toy drive along with a cash donation box for the Ronald McDonald House for sick children.

Tickets are $5 to $8, and can be purchased at the door or online at ticketf.ly/2AuC579. Also performing will be Zak Nevers, Chris Cali/Defonix, Meko, BREED, YL, and Johnny 5. For more information, see bit.ly/2nPZLgj.

■ Nothing says Christmas more than a free Elvis tribute at the Hollywood Casino, 1968 Miami St.

The event is at 7 p.m. Sunday. Hey, you think we’re joking? Go experience impersonator Ryan Pelton’s award-winning show, which will likely include his version of “Blue Christmas.” For more information, see bit.ly/2BCQVsk. Pelton, by the way, tours the country and is a past recipient of the Elvis Tribute Artist of the Year award and several other awards. He also took third runner-up in the 2015 Ultimate Elvis Contest.

■ If Elvis isn’t your thing, then try the John Denver Rocky Mountain Christmas show at the Maumee Indoor Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The concert features a blend of traditional Christmas music with familiar John Denver songs performed by the award-winning Chris Collins & Boulder Canyon.

Never mind that Denver once wrote a song that claimed Toledo was a boring place to be on a Saturday night. This show’s in Maumee at 601 Conant St., and on a Sunday night.

Tickets are $30.50 to $50.50. They can be purchased through etix at bit.ly/2i62KyI. Denver was known for his wholesome, feel-good Christmas concerts and holiday specials.
