Sources: OAS votes to readmit Cuba

SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras Diplomatic sources say that foreign ministers from across the Americas have voted to revoke a 1962 measure expelling communist Cuba from the Organization of American states.

It's not immediately clear if the ministers set conditions on Cuba returning to full participation in the organization.

The diplomats spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because Wednesday's decision has not been formally announced.

U.S. officials have said Cuba's return should require democratic reforms. Cuba has said it does not want to return to the body, accusing it of being a tool of the U.S.
