Tseng once again atop leaderboard

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. -- Top-ranked Yani Tseng shot her second straight 68 at the Kraft Nabisco Championship on Friday, taking a one-stroke lead over Haeji Kang after the second round of the LPGA Tour's first major of the year.

Lindsey Wright and Sun Young Yoo were third at 6 under, while Hall of Famer Se Ri Pak was three strokes back in fifth midway through the only major she has never won. Pak shot a 69 to move to 5 under, joined by Karin Sjodin and Na Yeon Choi.

Tseng extended her thorough domination of the women's game with another relentless round of long drives and steady putting. After finishing the opening round two strokes back, she was leading for the ninth time in the LPGA Tour's last 10 rounds.

The five-time major winner has won two straight tournaments, three of five, and six of 12 -- and she still had enough energy after her stellar second round to play a little pickup basketball.

■ HUMBLE, Texas -- Brian Davis and Louis Oosthuizen shared the lead at 11 under after two days of play in the rain-delayed Houston Open.

The second round was suspended due to darkness at 7:36 p.m. Friday with 70 players still on the course.

Houston resident Jeff Maggert was at 10 under, but he had eight holes left to play in his second round. Defending champion Phil Mickelson (70), J.B. Holmes (67), Tommy Gainey (67), and Greg Owen (69) were two shots behind the leaders at 9 under.

College football

ANN ARBOR -- Michigan announced its season ticket prices Friday for the 2012 football season.

Individual game tickets will be priced at $75 per ticket for five Saturday home games at Michigan Stadium: Sept. 8 vs. Air Force, Sept. 15 vs. Massachusetts, Oct. 13 vs. Illinois, Nov. 10 vs Northwestern, and Nov. 17 vs. Iowa.

The Michigan State game Oct. 20 is designated as a premium game and individual tickets will be $95.

This is the second straight year that Michigan has increased season ticket prices.

Season ticket renewal packages will be available in early April. Ticket packs and individual game tickets will go on sale in July.

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. -- A marathon second set was all even in a tiebreaker Friday night when Novak Djokovic found himself involved in yet another grueling point.

He hit 13 shots, all smacked aggressively from the backcourt, many landing within a foot or two of the baseline at the far end.

Finally Djokovic's dogged opponent cracked. Juan Monaco sailed a weary forehand long, and moments later the top-ranked Djokovic clinched a berth in the final of the Sony Ericsson Open by winning 6-0, 7-6 (5).

The final will be Djokovic's first since winning the Australian Open for his fifth Grand Slam title and third in a row. His opponent Sunday will be 2009 champion Andy Murray, who advanced with a walkover when Rafael Nadal withdrew hours before their semifinal because of a left knee injury that has bothered him in recent weeks.
