LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles County coroner's office has ruled that conservative blogger and commentator Andrew Breitbart died of heart failure stemming from coronary disease.

Coroner spokesman Craig Harvey said Friday that a negligible amount of alcohol was found in Mr. Breitbart's system but no prescription or illicit drugs. Mr. Harvey said foul play is not suspected and the case has been closed.

Mr. Breitbart, 43, died March 2 at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after collapsing as he was walking his dog near his Brentwood home.

The outspoken blogger and commentator, who published politically inspired photos and undercover videos, was at the center of several news Web sites. His work helped generate a number of prominent news stories. He helped bring national attention to a sexually suggestive photo Democratic U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York posted through his Twitter page.
