Accor to sell Motel 6 to Blackstone for $1.9B
5/23/2012NEW YORK -- French hotel company Accor SA said Tuesday that it has reached a deal to sell U.S. motel company Motel 6, including its extended-stay chain Studio 6, to Blackstone Group LP for $1.9 billion.
Motel 6 has 1,102 hotels with 107,347 hotel rooms in the United States and Canada.
