GEESYTOWN, Pa.— A prosecutor says at least one of the three people fatally shot by a gunman who was later killed by state troopers was targeted in or near a rural central Pennsylvania church.

Blair County District Attorney Richard Consiglio tells The Associated Press that the gunman shot at least one person Friday at Juniata Valley Gospel Church in Frankstown Township. That's about 70 miles west of Harrisburg.

Church officials haven't returned calls and the DA won't say if there was a church service at the time or if the person was there for another reason.

State police say the gunman killed three people, then exchanged gunfire with troopers rushing to the scene. Troopers fatally shot him after his pickup crashed into one of their cruisers.

Three troopers were injured.
