CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Art Museum and the government of Sicily have resolved a dispute over a touring exhibition of Sicilian antiquities.

That means the long-planned exhibition will open as scheduled on Sept. 29 in Cleveland.

The tour is a result of collaboration between the Cleveland museum and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, where the exhibition closed on Aug. 19. It includes more than 150 objects and will be on display at the Cleveland venue through Jan. 5.

The exhibition’s stop in Cleveland had been canceled last month after the museum was unable to resolve Sicily’s payment demands for loaning the items. The financial demands have not been disclosed.
