EASTVALE, Calif. — A former substitute teacher is facing charges in Riverside County, accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports (http://bit.ly/1dtpay5) prosecutors filed three counts of unlawful sex with a minor against 27-year-old Jason Stubbs of Corona last month after a four-month investigation. Authorities say Stubbs had sex with the girl, a student at Jurupa Valley High School, four times over the summer.

Stubbs was arrested in August after the girl reported the allegations against him. A day after his arrest authorities say the girl received an anonymous letter telling her to deny the sexual relationship to police.

Stubbs worked for the Jurupa Valley Unified School District for three years, but the district fired him in April. He worked at the Fontana Unified School District from April until his arrest in August.
