WEST HAVEN, Vt. — Police say the driver of a tour bus that collided with a tractor-trailer on an icy Vermont roadway has died.

Vermont State Police say 59-year-old bus driver Darnell Hannah was pinned inside the bus when it struck the jackknifed truck on Route 22A in West Haven, about 60 miles south of Burlington. Two passengers had moderate injuries while others reported minor injuries.

Investigators say the tractor-trailer was stopped in the roadway Friday night when the bus crested a hill and lost control before hitting the guard rails and the trailer. Thirty-two people were on board the bus.

Police did not release the name of the bus company. Hannah was from Millstone, N.J.

The road was closed for several hours and reopened Saturday morning.
