  • Impressionism is really fun, Hannah Barr, at right, of Adrian shows. She's actually joking about her painting smock with Renee Armstrong of Tecumseh during a youth art program that runs until Feb. 23 at Adrian College.

Elementary and middle school students are exploring the Impressionist art style by creating sculptures similar to Degas and paintings following the artistic style of Monet, Cezanne, and Seurat.

    Renee looks at finished pieces.

Eric Huffman of Lyons, Ohio, puts the finishing touches on his wire and nylon sculpture.

The program is hosted by Adrian College, the YMCA of Lenawee County, and the Lenawee County Council for the Visual Arts.
