Around 200 people attend an open house to celebrate the completion of renovations and expansion of the Summerfield-Petersburg Branch of the Monroe County Library System in Petersburg, Michigan library in February 17, 2008. The library was too small, with book return carts used as extra shelving space. Now, says Doris Sheldon, branch librarian, the library will be able to "double its collection" and still have room fro growth.     Playing the harp is Tonya Bess of Ida, as part of the celebration. She is in front of the library's fireplace. The improvements made to the library, at East Center Street in Petersburg, will enable it to double its collecton. The library had been considered too small, with book return carts being used as shelving space. Now, the facility also has room to grow in the future.
