BLISSFIELD - The Blissfield Chamber of Commerce presents its "Blissfield Boo's, Bits, and Bites" walking dining tour Oct. 16-18, to explore some of Blissfield's historic neighborhoods and to taste samplings from its most well-known restaurants and specialty shops.

The food tours are guided, low-impact, 2 1/2-hour walking tours where patrons will also learn about Blissfield's history, rural lifestyle, and architecture. Tours will begin at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Participants will be assigned to tour times after they have purchased their $25 tickets.

Types of food to be sampled will include home cooking, authentic Italian, bakery items, Greek, fine dining, pizza, and country cooking.

The tour will progress from one dining establishment to the next on foot, and finish with an old-fashioned hayride.

Guests are encouraged to visit Blissfield's downtown shops as well as those along the U.S. 223 shopping corridor.

The Oct. 16-18 weekend was also chosen to highlight the autumn colors of Hidden Lake Gardens, as well as "The Haunting" at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds and "The House of Frankenstein" at the Croswell Opera House.
