Oct. 16: Cancer Connection fund-raising dinner and entertainment, 5-8 p.m. Portion of food sales will benefit the program. Pumpkins available to paint at $1 to $3 donation.

Oct. 16: Rib dinner with entertainment, 6 p.m. at $7.42 for members, $8.48 for guests. Barbecue chicken breast also available. Call to make a reservation.

Oct. 17: Women to Women support group for female cancer survivors, 10-11:30 a.m. Learn about resources available to Monroe County cancer patients.

Oct. 18: Cup of Hope tea luncheon and pampering event for breast cancer awareness, serving 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Village Bistro, 15 Washington St. Cost, $25. Reservations required.

Oct. 18: Talk by State Rep. Kate Ebli at 1 and 2:15 p.m. on breast cancer awareness, Palmer Room, 124 East Front St. Miss Monroe County 2008 Elizabeth Wertenberger will visit from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Inspirational talks, raffle baskets, drawings, and offers by businesses of free pampering services, 1-3 p.m.
