TOURING THE TRADING POST BY CANDLELIGHT

10/22/2008

Lighting the way, Alisha Cooley in early 19th century clothing, is joined by another historical re-enactor to lead the Monroe County Historical Museum's annual Lantern Tours at the Navarre Anderson Trading Post in Monroe. Volunteers in period attire perform skits to illustrate, by candlelight, life when the trading post was active on what then was the frontier. The tours also will be conducted tomorrow and Saturday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
