Adrian

• A roast-beef dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 23 in Prince of Peace Community Center, 1920 Lewis Ave., (corner of Lewis and Dunbar Road) Ida, Mich. Dinners include roast beef, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, coleslaw or applesauce, dinner roll, beverage and dessert. • Duane Malinowski & the Polka Jamboree will play favorite polkas, waltzes, and fox trots from 3-7 p.m. Jan. 25 at American Legion Post 514, 11601 Lewis Ave., (Old Hickory Park) in Ida. Doors open at 2 p.m.; food and refreshments will be available. Admission is $7.50 per person.

Lambertville

• VFW Post No. 9656, all-you-can-eat breakfast, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Jan. 25 at 4120 Piehl Road, with eggs, sausage links, ham, hash browns, French toast, pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuits, a fruit cup, and beverages. Monroe

• Boater safety classes will be offered by the Monroe County Sheriff s Office beginning in April. Five classes will be offered over a five month period. The classes are free and no preregistration is required. Classes are offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following Saturdays: April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, and Aug. 8. Temperance

• Stitches Doll Project is scheduled to be on display through Jan. 28 at the Monroe County Community College s Whitman Center, 7777 Lewis Ave., Temperance. Created in July 1999 by two AIDS educators and activists for the state of Michigan, the Stitches Doll Project was designed for women living with HIV infection as a means of providing a safe place for affected women from around the country to voice their feelings about living with HIV. Each doll includes an answer from its creator to the question If your doll could talk what would she say? Viewing hours are to be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays, and from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
