Monroe

Boater safety classes will be offered by the Monroe County Sheriff s Office beginning in April. Five classes will be offered over five months. The classes are free, and no registration is required. Classes are offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following Saturdays: April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, and Aug. 8. Participants must be at least 12 years old. Caring Alternatives community education department offers confidential information and support to adolescents and teens with questions about rape, incest, sexual coercion, and relationship violence. Dining to Donate fund-raiser, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Applebee s in Monroe. Caring Alternatives Sexual Assault Recovery program offers support to survivors of sexual assault, incest, and molestation in the form of group support, and individual counseling.
