2/24/2009

MONROE The Monroe County Historical Museum is looking for volunteers to assist in Maple Sugar Day activities on March 28 at the Navarre-Anderson Trading Post.

The annual festival features demonstrations of how maple sugar is made and what life was like in the French pioneer era.

The trading post at 3775 North Custer Rd. is considered to be the oldest wooden residence still standing in the state.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering can contact David Ingall, assistant director at the museum, at 734-240-7780.
