Bedford

• The Bedford Flower and Garden Club s 13th annual Garden Tour, A Walk Through Time, takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 11 and features six gardens. Tickets are $8 and available the day of the tour at the Bedford Public Library, 8575 Jackman Rd. Event includes a plant sale, raffles, and special garden items and gifts from the Garden Club s Backyard Boutique, including a cookbook with recipes from local gardeners. Details: 734-856-7379.

Monroe County

• Caring Alternatives Sexual Assault Recovery Program offers services to individuals and families that have experienced sexual assault. CAI provides confidential information free through its hot line 734-243-6410 and a weekly support group. Individual trauma release therapy is available for adults and children ages 3 and older. Call 734-242-8711 to obtain information regarding fees, insurance coverage, crime victims funds, and available appointments. Toledo

• Toledo historical and architectural cruises on the Maumee River aboard the Sandpiper boat are presented by the Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor. The two-hour cruises take place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 10 and 1p.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 6. Local historian Fred Folger tells stories and points out sights. Cost is $18 or $15 for a member of any historical organization in the Maumee Valley. Reservations: 419-537-1212.

• The Kitchen of Hope is held the last Friday of each month. This is a free hot dinner that is available to anyone who wishes to attend. Information and reservations from 419-874-4346.

Areawide

• About $60 worth of fresh and frozen food can be purchased by anyone in need for $30 through Angel Food Ministries at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6517 Brint Rd., Sylvania. Orders for July will be taken at the church, July 4 from 1 to 3 p.m.; July 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and July 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. Information 419-882-6488.
