•29th annual Arts for Our Future juried show Nov. 1 at the Bedford Library, 8575 Jackman Rd., Temperance. It is sponsored by the Bedford Community Arts Council and the Bedford Library. •The Toledo Symphony will perform musical scores from the Harry Potter films at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Meyer Theater of the La-Z-Boy Center, Monroe County Community College, 1555 South Raisinville Rd. •Silent Witness Project continues through Oct. 30 at Monroe County Community College's Whitman Center, 777 Lewis Ave. The project is part of a national initiative to remember those murdered in acts of domestic violence. Each of the 18 free-standing, life-sized silhouettes bears a gold shield with information about the woman and circumstances of her death. •34th annual Miss Northwestern Ohio Scholarship Pageant, a preliminary to the Miss Ohio and Miss America scholarship pageants, will be Nov. 14 in the Defiance Community Auditorium. The pageant committee is seeking female contestants between the ages of 17 and 24, who are single, never been married or pregnant, and live, work or go to school in Ohio. The areas of competition are talent, interview, swimsuit, and evening wear. There are no entry fees. The program is affiliated with the Children's Miracle Network, and each contestant will be asked to obtain sponsors to contribute a combined $100 to the Children's Miracle Network.
