Many places have Easter egg hunts for youths, but Bedford Alliance Church on Jackman Road in Temperance gave that tradition a twist.
The church arranged for a helicopter to drop plastic eggs over the church grounds, where youths such as Austin Spohler, 6, of Petersburg, scrambled to collect some of the goodie-filled eggs.
Veronica Steinman, 6, shields her eyes with her Easter basket while she and her mother, Sarah Steinman of Lambertville, watch the helicopter while church volunteer Mark Nowicki, 17, of Temperance looks on.
There also were door prizes, miniature train rides, and, as Bob Tessmer of Temperance and his granddaughter, Lacy Evans, 18 months, of Dundee, see, horses.
