Blissfield

River Raisin Festival May Day 5K Run, event begins at Arch Bridge in Ellis Park, on the east side of the River Raisin just off U.S. 223; and ends on the Pedestrian Bridge leading into Bachmayer Park, on the west side of the River Raisin, registration 11 a.m., run 1 p.m., followed immediately by the children's run, May 1. If registering by Friday, cost includes a T-shirt. Cost $25 or $28 (with XXL shirt) for 5K Run/Walk; $15 for kids' trot or $22 5K Run/Walk no shirt; $12 2K kids' trot no shirt. War of 1812 Bicentennial Art Contest to promote the River Raisin National Battlefield Park, July 15-22. All entries must be received by July 15 between 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Ellis Library Branch, 3700 South Custer Rd.
