Financial aid director appointed at MCCC

MONROE -- Valerie Culler is the new director of financial aid at Monroe County Community College.

Ms. Culler lives in Dearborn and previously was assistant director of operations in the financial aid department. Before that, she worked in financial aid offices at Henry Ford Community College, the University of Detroit-Mercy, Ave Maria University, and Baker College.

She holds a master of arts degree in business administration from Madonna University and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Michigan. She is a doctoral candidate in the educational leadership program at Eastern Michigan University.

At MCCC, she administers financial aid programs and provides information and assistance to students and families. She also oversees the financial aid office staff.

She replaces Tracy Vogt, who was promoted to registrar at MCCC.
