MONROE -- The public is invited to attend an open house at Monroe High School Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

"We invite all of our students and their families too, even if you may not have any children here," Principal Matthew Cortez said. "We have a great school here and we want to show it off."

Staff members will be present and the classrooms and facilities will be open. Dessert will be offered to guests. The public will be able to see The Trojan Lisa, the large painting done by three high school art students.

Buses will be shuttling people to and from the school every 30 minutes from 5:45 to 8:15 p.m. Pickup and drop-off points will be at the middle school and Meijer near the garden center.
