Monroe High college night set for Thursday

MONROE -- Monroe High School's parent-teacher conferences, coupled with a college night, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school gymnasium.

Teachers will be available in the high school gym to meet with parents. School counselors will be available in their offices. Parents will be able to access their children's schedule in Power School, but schedules also will be available at the main entrance of the school.

In addition, parents and students can meet with college representatives from 28 schools, the most ever assembled for a college night at Monroe High School.

Students can pick up applications, discuss admittance requirements and programs offered, and in some cases apply on-site.

Colleges include Adrian College, Alma College, Barbizon Modeling and Acting Centers, Bowling Green State University, Central Michigan University, Concordia University, Davenport University, Eastern Michigan University, Ferris State University, Herzing University, Hope College, Lourdes University, Madonna University, Michigan State University, Michigan Technological University, Monroe County Community College, Oakland University, Owens Tech, Saginaw Valley State University, Sienna Heights, Specs Howard School of Media Arts, Spring Arbor University, University of Detroit Mercy, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, University of Michigan- Dearborn, University of Toledo, Wayne State University, and Western Michigan University.
