Board approves Web site redesign
TEMPERANCE — Bedford Township will be getting a new Web site.
The board has approved spending $7,100 for a redesign of the township’s nine-year-old site, which members agreed was out of date and not user-friendly.
Revize Software Systems of Troy, Mich., is to be hired for the one-time redesign and is to be paid $2,460 as an annual support fee. Clerk Trudy Hershberger said the firm charged less than other companies the township considered. The new site will allow staff members to make changes to their respective pages and be able to carry streaming video of board meetings.
In other business, the board agreed to waive the Lambertville Civic Club’s $25 fee for a noise ordinance permit for its Summerfest to be held next month at Parmelee Park.
The permit will be good for June 21, 22, and 23.
MONROE
Baccalaureate set for county grads
MONROE — Graduating seniors of Monroe County high schools, their families, and friends are invited to a May 29 baccalaureate service in Monroe High School at 7:30 p.m.
The service is sponsored, for the 11th consecutive year, by the Monroe Evangelical Association. Students are asked to wear their schools’ caps and gowns if they have received them by then and to be at the high school by 7:15 p.m. to line up for the procession into the auditorium.
The one-hour service is to include participation by students, teacher, and pastors as a way to honor the graduates.
Speakers are to include the Rev. Mark Witte of Grace Lutheran Church and the Rev. Adam Raines of Monroe Full Gospel Church.

MONROE
Farmers Market to move outdoors
MONROE — The Farmers Market in Monroe, at 20 East Willow St., which operates every Tuesday and Saturday throughout the year, is to move outdoors beginning June 2.
The market, which has operated since 1931, is open from 6 a.m. to noon. Among the items sold are asparagus, beets, baked goods, carrots, candles, corn, and crafts.
