COLUMBUS - Former Ohio State coach John Cooper (1988-2000) will be at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz., today when Arizona State takes on Georgia.

Cooper, the first coach to lead teams from the Pac-10 and Big Ten to Rose Bowl victories, will be honored for his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. Cooper will be joined by one of his former ASU players, Randall McDaniel, who will also be inducted.

Cooper led the Buckeyes to a share of three Big Ten titles. He lives in suburban Columbus and is a college football analyst for ESPN.

Cooper and McDaniel will be officially inducted in New York City on Dec. 9 along with Troy Aikman (UCLA), Billy Cannon (LSU), coach and player Pat Fitzgerald (Northwestern) and Lou Holtz (Notre Dame and five other schools) among others.
