INDIANAPOLIS – Evan Turner hit a 40-foot shot with one-tenth of a second left to lift Ohio State to a 69-68 win over Michigan in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten tournament at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Ohio State had led most of the second half, but the Wolverines came back and went up by two on a jumper by Manny Harris with 2.2 seconds to play. After a timeout, the Buckeyes inbounded the ball to Turner at full-court, and he dribbled a couple of strides across half court before letting loose with the shot.

The officials reviewed Turner's shot on a TV monitor for several minutes before signaling that it was good, giving the top-seeded Buckeyes the win. Turner led Ohio State (25-7) with 18 points, while William Buford and David Lighty had 15 each.

Michigan (15-17) got 26 points from Harris, and 16 each from DeShawn Sims and Stu Douglass.

Ohio State advances to Saturday's semifinal round and faces the winner of the Wisconsin – Illinois quarterfinal round game.
