Braxton Miller is listed as the starter against Illinois on the Ohio State depth chart, a sign that his sprained right ankle is healing quickly.

The freshman quarterback was having the best game of his young career against Nebraska on Saturday when he was injured on a tackle by linebacker Sean Fisher with 4:45 left in the third quarter. Miller did not return as Nebraska rallied from a 21-point deficit to win 34-27.

Miller completed 5 of 8 passes for 95 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jake Stoneburner. Miller also ran for 91 yards in 10 carries.

Senior Joe Bauserman, who began the year as the starter, replaced Miller and struggled badly. He completed only 1 of 10 passes and was intercepted once.

Kenny Guiton has been the third-string quarterback, but it is expected that he will get more reps in practice.
