EAST LANSING, Mich. — No. 14 Ohio State held off 20th-ranked Michigan State for a 17-16 win in today’s Big Ten opener at Spartan Stadium.
OSU took a 17-13 lead on Braxton Miller’s 63-yard touchdown pass to Devin Smith in the third quarter and would not relinquish the advantage.
The Buckeyes finished with 383 yards to the Spartans’ 303.
