COLUMBUS -- Ohio State completed an undefeated season today with a 26-21 win over Michigan at Ohio Stadium.

The Buckeyes (12-0, 8-0 Big Ten) secured the win as its defense held the Wolverines (8-4, 6-2) scoreless in the second half.

Johnathan Hankins' forced fumble with less than nine minutes left in the game set up Drew Basil's fourth field goal of the game, which gave the Buckeyes a 26-21 lead over the Wolverines with 6:26 left in regulation.

Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner finished 11 for 121 passing for 171 yards, with a touchdown pass. Denard Robinson led the Wolverines with 122 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Roy Roundtree had three catches for 92 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter.

For Ohio State, Braxton Miller was 14 for 18 passing for 189 yards and a touchdown, while Carlos Hyde had 146 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. Corey Brown had eight catches for 95 yards and a touchdown.

Michigan now awaits a bid to a bowl game.
