Ohio State will open the 2013 season as the No. 2-ranked football team in the country.
The Associated Press released its preseason top 25 poll today and voters ranked the Buckeyes second behind Alabama, the defending BCS champion.
Michigan is ranked No. 17 in the AP preseason poll.
The Buckeyes open the season at noon Aug. 31 against Buffalo at Ohio Stadium in Columbus and the Wolverines open the season at 3:30 p.m. the same day against Central Michigan at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
