Perrysburg Township trustees approved a $13,700 contract Wednesday for asbestos removal at the old Lime City School.

Midwest Environmental Control Inc. of Toledo will do the work from Tuesday through Aug. 5, after which the building will be razed to make way to build a park. A picnic shelter already has been moved to the site just south of the township hall in preparation.

The township bought the school and land from Rossford Exempted Village Schools last year for $110,600.
