The Wood County Planning Commission has approved Perrysburg Township's proposal to put a new zoning map before voters in November that would establish zoning regulations for parts of the township that now lack them.

The new zoning would be based primarily on current land uses in the area south of Five Point Road, east of Lime City Road, and south of State Rt. 795 east of Lime City. The map's latest draft shows about 80 to 90 percent of that territory being zoned for agricultural use.

The township zoning commission plans to hold a hearing April 14 about the proposal. A similar hearing last month drew just two residents, neither of whom spoke.
