Gesu wins team trophy in state chess tournament

For the second year in a row, Gesu Elementary School brought home a team trophy from the Ohio Elementary Scholastic Chess Tournament held on the Ohio State University campus.

The team members were Ryan Bossenbroek (first grade), Eric Bossenbroek (fourth grade), Jack Eitniear (fourth grade), Nico Francis-Emonds (fourth grade) , Will Kapszukiewicz (second grade), Josef Klear (fourth grade), Sydny Schmidt (fourth grade) , and Josi Vollmar (fourth grade).
