Central hosts Dungy

Central Catholic High School's Reads Program will feature former professional football player and NFL coach Tony Dungy, author of Uncommon: Finding Your Path to Significance, at a luncheon and an assembly talk on Tuesday in the Sullivan Center, 2550 Cherry St.

Tickets for the 2 p.m. assembly are $20 each. Two luncheon tickets plus two tickets to the assembly will cost $100. All proceeds will benefit the CCHS Reads Program. Information: 419-255-2280.

Local jazz band It's Essential will be among the entertainment groups donating performances to the Haitian Relief Benefit Concert scheduled from 8 to 11 p.m. tomorrow in the gym of St. Lucas Lutheran Church, 745 Walbridge Ave.

Acoustics for Autism, a music festival featuring local acts and bands, will be held Sunday from noon to 2 a.m. at the Village Idiot, 309 Conant St., Maumee. The festival will benefit a scholarship fund for the families of autistic children. There will be raffles, a silent auction, and entertainment by 14 bands. Admission is free.
