Doobie Brothers coming to the Stranahan in May

Presale tickets to a May 19 performance by the Doobie Brothers in the Stranahan Theater are available through 5 p.m. tomorrow for Stranahan e-mail subscribers and fan club members. They go on sale to the public starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. Prices are $37.50, $45, or $55. •The comedy show Good 4 the Soul is scheduled at 6 p.m. March 21, featuring Horace H.B. Sanders, Ron Baker, Jr., and gospel vocalist Vickie Winans. Tickets are $35.

The Irish rock band Screaming Orphans returns to Lourdes College at 8:30 p.m. March 19. The four sisters who make up the band will perform their own music, which is a combination of traditional Irish music and music inspired by the Beatles, R.E.M., and the Indigo Girls. They'll be in Ebeid Student Center in the lower level of Delph Hall, 6832 Convent Blvd., Sylvania. Tickets are $10 for the public and free to those with a Lourdes College ID. Celtic Crossroads will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a concert at 3 p.m. March 14 in the River Raisin Center for the Arts, 114 South Monroe St., Monroe. The seven Irish musicians play more than 20 instruments and perform music as diverse as Eastern European Gypsy, North American bluegrass, classical and jazz, and traditional Celtic. The Croswell Opera House in Adrian will present Blue's Clues Live! at 7 p.m. March 19 and 20 and 2 p.m. March 21 in the theater, 129 East Maumee St. Based on the Nickelodeon television series, the show features Steve and his larger-than-life puppy, Blue, in an interactive program.
