Imagination Station focusing on bodies

Bodies Revealed features 10 full human bodies and more than 150 partial specimens that were dissected and hardened with a technique called polymer preservation.

Imagination Station opens the Bodies Revealed exhibit Saturday, featuring 10 full human bodies and more than 150 partial specimens that were dissected and hardened with a technique called polymer preservation. Visitors will get a detailed look at skeletal, muscular, reproductive, respiratory, circulatory, and other systems of the body, as well as how disease and unhealthy lifestyles affect them. The exhibit runs through Sept. 18. For nonmembers, admission to Imagination Station is $9 for adults (13 and older), $8 for seniors (65 and older), and $7 for children (3-12). Bodies Revealed requires an additional ticket: $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $7 for children. Members get into Imagination Station for free, and their Bodies Revealed fee is $6. Irish crooner Daniel O'Donnell will be at the Stranahan Theater Tuesday and Wednesday for 3 p.m. shows each day. A popular figure on PBS, O'Donnell sells millions of CDs and DVDs each year, featuring standards, '60s-era hits, and Irish-themed songs that resonate with an older generation of listeners. His concerts are presented as variety shows, and he draws audience members from hundreds of miles away to each venue. He was last in Toledo two years ago. Honor Flight and the 180th Fighter Wing are sponsoring a Stage Door Canteen from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the 180th Fighter Wing, 2660 South Eber Rd., near Swanton.
