Gymnasts competing at SeaGate Center

Rock the Gym, the 2011 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships, runs through Saturday in the SeaGate Convention Centre, 401 Jefferson Ave. Competition runs from 8:45 a.m. to approximately 9:45 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8:45 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. Saturday. Single-day admission is $12 for adults and $8 for children; three-day passes are available.

Comedian Tommy Davidson will bring his stand-up comedy act to the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Perrysburg for four performances. One of the original stars of the television show In Living Color, Davidson will perform at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday and 7 and 10 p.m. Saturday in the club at 6140 Levis Commons Blvd. Tickets are $20. The Valentine Theatre, 400 North Superior St., concludes its Silver Screen Classics season with Jaws at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $4 a person, and each movie will have an intermission, during which popcorn, pop, and adult beverages will be available for purchase. The ARCA Allegiant Glass City Gold Cup Series comes to Flat Rock Speedway in Flat Rock, Mich., Saturday. The 100-lap event for late models is expected to draw cars from Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. The pit area will open at 1:30 p.m., with practice at 3, time trials at 5, and racing at 7 p.m. The track's figure 8s and street stocks will also be in action.
