Funnyman Kevin Hart wasn't always funny. In fact, the comedian recalls being slapped in the face with a Buffalo-style chicken wing after telling a bad joke early in his career. Hart has come a long way since those days of bad jokes and selling sneakers in Philadelphia. Thursday night, he'll bring his stand-up act to Connxtions Comedy Club on Heatherdowns Road in Toledo. Shows are at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Thursday night and Friday. The Laugh At My Pain tour is laced with short jokes and stories about Mr. Hart's difficult life experiences and shameful situations. The comedian has appeared in Little Fockers, Death at a Funeral, Soul Plane, and other films, before taking his stand up to the big screen. Tickets are $30. Information: connxtionscomedyclub.com.

Legendary comedian Tim Conway, a six-time Emmy winner will bring his signature dry delivery to the Stranahan Theater Wednesday for the Tim Conway & Friends Comedy Show. Performances are at 2 and 7 p.m. and tickets range from $33 to $78. Conway, who attended Bowling Green State University, starred in hit shows such as The Carol Burnett Show and McHale's Navy.
