Local bands to entertain for Feed Your Neighbor

The Feed Your Neighbor program at Augsburg Lutheran Church is bringing back its popular fund-raiser for a third time. Raise Some Cash Vol. 3 will kick off Sunday at the Village Idiot, 309 Conant St. in Maumee. The event will feature live music from bands that include Blowing Grains, Old State Line, Voodoo Libido, Kentucky Chrome, Locoweed, the Bridges, and Jeff Stewart and the 25s. Music styles range from bluegrass and acoustic to pop and rock. All participating bands will play at least one Johnny Cash song. All ages are welcome, but minors should be accompanied by an adult. The music begins at 3 p.m. and a $5 donation is suggested. Feed Your Neighbor is a city-wide program with 13 distribution centers. The program distributes more than 70,000 packages of groceries annually.

Hulk Hogan's team of professional pint-sized wrestlers will visit Toledo Saturday for a night of super slams and power punches. The Hulkster's Micro Wrestling Championship team will storm the ring at the Omni, 2567 W. Bancroft St. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20. Funnyman Tommy Johnagin, known for making light of his own life, will deliver his clean, story-telling comedy at the Toledo Funny Bone Thursday through Sunday. Tickets range between $12 and $14 and show times are 7 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday, and 7 p.m. Sunday. He has appeared on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, CMT's Comedy Stage, and Last Comic Standing. Rapper Machine Gun Kelly will perform Saturday at the Clazel Theatre, 127 N. Main Street in Bowling Green. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. VIP tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. The Cleveland rapper is known for his rapid-fire lyrical flow. In August, he signed with Bad Boy records. He's released six mix tapes and his first album, "Lace Up," is due in early 2012.
