Address: 1680 Smith Rd., Temperance

Origin of your name: This bar has been around since the early 1900s. The name may have been a good way to let people know they had left Ohio and entered Michigan, since it's right on the state line.

Clientele: From laborers to lawyers, we get them all. We are versatile and we even have a NASCAR driver and Indianapolis 500 winner Sam Hornish, Jr., stop in every once in a while.

What makes your place unique: We are known for our entertainment, and -- because of our age -- everybody knows about us or has at least heard of us.

What type of entertainment do you feature: Friday and Saturday nights we have some of the best bands from Toledo and the surrounding area playing rock, classic rock, country, and blues, including Mas Fina, Rodney Parker, and Liberty Beach, Josh Boyd, Booyah, Last Born Sons. We also have dart tournaments, karaoke, and other entertainers.

Upcoming events: June 1-2, Caught in the Boogie; June 8-9, Smoking Guns; June 15-16, Stephen Woolley, and Suburban Soul; June 22-23, Jennifer Westwood; and June 29-30, The Villains.
