Epic Rocks to strut cutting-edge fashion

Models rocking the latest fashions will strut the catwalk to some of today's hottest tunes at the 5th annual Epic Rocks fashion show Saturday at the Grand Aire Hangar at Toledo Express Airport. The event brings together local models, retailers, and entertainers for a multimedia fashion affair. The show starts at 8 p.m. and general admission tickets are $25. Proceeds from the show go to advance the mission of EPIC Toledo, a young professional organization of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce that supports the growth of young professionals in the community.

Local author Marisa Williams will celebrate the publishing of her 100th book with a celebration Friday at Mickey Finns, 602 Lagrange St. The party will feature special guest Kill Whitey, the Gutter Ghouls, Lament, and Reggae Dave of Crucial 420. In addition, there will be free desserts, raffles, door prizes, and more. Original photography and jewelry, made by the author, will also be on display. The book, RE:Dealing, a sequel to Williams' Dealing, takes readers behind the scenes of the drug world. Presale tickets are available directly from the author at two for $10 and include a free book.
