Degage Express - Soups, Sandwiches & Such opened this week in the historic Maumee building replacing Red Wells in that location.
According to a news release from Degage Jazz Cafe, which is also housed in the 301 River Rd. building, the new restaurant will feature a "farm to table" lunch concept where all of the products served are fresh and local. Almost every item on the menu will be from within 100 miles of the location, with most from around 30 miles, according to the release.
The menu will feature soups, sandwiches, breads, salads and various side dishes and the change was made Wednesday. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and executive chef is Joseph Jacobsen, who also is chef at Degage Jazz Cafe.
