Event to pit pro riders against bulls

The Professional Bull Riders are returning to Huntington Center on Friday and Saturday for two shows. About 40 of the sport's top athletes will battle it out against bucking bulls as they seek qualifying points for the 2013 Professional Bull Riders Tour Finals. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. both nights. Tickets are $22, $37, and $52 for adults and $12 for children ages 2 through 12. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, the Huntington Center Box Office, and charge by phone at 800-745-3000.

The SeaGate Convention Centre will open its doors today for the 2013 Greater Toledo Auto Show. The show will feature cars, trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles from domestic and foreign auto makers. The event runs through Sunday and will include appearances by Matt the Balloon Guy on Saturday. Mud Hens mascots Muddy and Muddonna, along with Nickelodeon's Diego, will make special appearances Saturday and Sunday. Doors are open from 3 to 9 p.m. today, noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults and children older than 12. Friday admission will be discounted to $4 for seniors 55 and older.

The Toledo Zoo will host a Vanimaltine's Day celebration Saturday. Visitors can watch as animals explore their exhibits and find papier-mâche Valentines filled with species-appropriate treats. The gift giving begins at 10 a.m. and wraps up at 4 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $5.50 for seniors and children under 12. Children 2 and younger are admitted free.
