AUDITIONS

Perrysburg Musical Theatre Company will hold general auditions for adults and teens ages 13 and older for The Music Man from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Commodore Auditorium, 140 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg. Adults and teens should prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song in the style of The Music Man. Compositions by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Frank Loesser, or Harold Rome are recommended. Clear, organized sheet music in the appropriate key is required; an accompanist will be provided.

From 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 26, children’s auditions will be at St. Timothy’s Church, 871 E. Boundary St., Perrysburg, for ages 7 to 9. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. auditions for ages 10 to 12 will be held. All participants in each group are required to stay the full 90 minutes.

Audition packets are available at www.perrysburgmusicaltheatre.org. Packets include materials and details on audition preparation and requirements; rehearsal scheduling; performances; a plot description and character listing; dates of invited callbacks, and an audition form and waiver contract to be completed and brought with the participant the day of auditions.

Performances will be held at Perrysburg High School, 13385 Roachton Rd., Perrysburg, July 31-Aug. 3. Thursday through Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Clark Ausloos is the director; Pamela Williams-Rumer is music director.
