BOWLING GREEN - A former Bowling Green man charged with killing a man at a Lake Township truck stop was moved to the Wood County jail yesterday from the East Lansing, Mich., jail where he has been held since July.

Dennis Michael Salerno, 30, is to be arraigned Nov. 14 before Judge Robert Pollex in Wood County Common Pleas Court. In September, Salerno was indicted by a Wood County grand jury on one count each of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, and tampering with evidence.

Salerno reportedly told police in East Lansing, Mich., that he killed Larry McClanahan, 50, of Moscow, O., at the Petro Stopping Center off I-280.

McClanahan, who had been in prison with Salerno at one time, was found July 3 in a shower room at the truck stop with his throat slit.

Salerno's wife, Michelle, has been missing since June. Wood County Prosecutor Alan Mayberry said yesterday that there are no new developments to report in her disappearance.
