A Toledo man was cited yesterday for an accident on northbound I-75 in which his car collided twice with a tractor-trailer that then hit a guardrail near the Berdan Avenue exit ramp, authorities said.

Ralph Albert, 46, was cited for changing lanes in the accident that occurred about 7:35 a.m., Toledo police Officer Dave Sullivan said.

The truck driver, Brian Shebek, 36, of Toledo, just entered the right lane of I-75 from I-475 when he felt Mr. Albert's car hit his truck twice on the left side near the fuel tank, Officer Sullivan said.

Mr. Shebek hit his brakes too hard and the front of the truck hit the guardrail at the ramp, causing leaks in the radiator and the oil tank. The spills were cleaned up by Ohio Department of Transportation crews. Mr. Albert told police he hit a slick spot on the road when the accident occurred, the officer said.
