A man with a handgun robbed Busia's Narozny restaurant, 3227 Lagrange St., of about $70 four hours before a similar robbery at Marco's Pizza, 2040 Ottawa River Rd.

Sara Henning said she saw a man behind a customer she was cashing out at the restaurant about 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The man said he might order something to go and held a menu to his face while she waited on other customers.

When Ms. Henning returned to take the man's order, he demanded money and threatened to hurt her if she didn't cooperate. He pulled up his shirt and showed her the outline of a small handgun. Ms. Henning opened the register and handed the man money, police said.

Detective Danny Navarre said he thinks the same man robbed the pizza shop at gunpoint of an undetermined amount of money about 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The man entered the eatery, showed a handgun, and fled with the money.
